Orange Launches £99 Android Smartphone – ‘San Francisco’

Orange has announced a self-branded sub-£100 Android smartphone – ‘Orange San Francisco’. According to the telecom operator, it is the first in series of affordable Android phones, company is planning.

Orange San Francisco will be available across UK from this week for available for £99 on Orange pay as you go.

MIT App Turns Your Android Phone To A Supercomputer

Is it Google’s Nexus One a “superphone,”?? If it was, because that nickname has been taken to a new stage in the Android Phone World.

A team of MIT has used their intelligence in designing a new Android Application that can solve complex problem in just a fraction of seconds. This application is very quick in calculations and response time, that has taken down bona fide supercomputer. Here, the goal is to convert all the researchers and scientists to convert on to Google’s Mobile, but also its also designed ” to let engineers perform complicated calculations in the field, and to better control systems for vehicles or robotic systems.” This application has turned Android Phones to supercomputer. Lenovo To Sell CDMA LePhone With China Telecom

China Telecom has recently announced a plan to jointly launch the CDMA2000 LePhone, while WCDMA LePhone was earlier launched with China Unicom on May 17 at a price of 2,899 yuan.

The LePhone is Lenovo’s sophisticated smartphone which adopts Google’s Android operation system. Lenovo recently confirmed that sale of 100,000 Units of its first Android smartphone in China, this data is till June end only, company might have sold many more units till now. Lenovo hopes to sell one million LePhones within a year.

Sharp to launch OPhone powered smartphones in China

Sharp has announced that it will be launching two Android powered smartphone in China next month. These smartphones will come with Chinese version of Android – Ophone. The 3.2-inch touch screen model will sell for 2,200 yuan, or around 27,000 yen, while the 3.5-incher will go for 3,000 yuan, or some 37,000 yen.

Sharp’s Chinese cellular phone sales topped 1 million units last fiscal year. It aims to rapidly lift sales to the 5 million unit mark.
