IPTV TO CHANGE THE FUTURE OF INTERNET IN INDIA

IPTV is technology of the future and UTStarcom firmly believes that 'IPTV and other value added service would drive the penetration of Broadband in India'

IPTV would bridge the digital divide between computer literate and non-computer literate. Everyone knows how to use to use a television but everybody doesn't know how to operate a P.C. says Vijay Yadav, Managing Director, South Asia operations, UTStarcom, who has been at the forefront of driving growth and expansion of IPTV in the industry, spoke about this emerging technology, which is bound to change the way we use the Internet Television in future.

'UTStarcom is the leader in broadband and IPTV infrastructure in India. We have the unique capability to provide IPTV services via Broadband, both FTTx and xDSL, and wireless networks. As far as future plans from the product side are side are concerned, the first thing that we are doing is to enable more applications so that a service provider is able to give more to the consumers. To do that initially we started an IPTV Center Of Excellence here in India and very recently we have started IPTV Technology center in India. What this center does is that it works with different third party application providers and bring them on to IPTV', he says.
