Wipro has appointed the former SVP of Satyam as the Head of engineering design and services
Wipro, the Bangalore-headquartered consumer care to IT major, is all set to strengthen the company's engineering design and services (EDS) practice with the joining of Dr T S Krishnamurthy, the former senior vice president, Integrated Engineering Services of Satyam as the Head of EDS.
A former ISRO scientist Krishnamurthy (known as TSK in his circle) was instrumental to the success of Satyam's engineering services vertical during the hay days of the company. Wipro entered the EDS business with the acquisition of Quantech in 2006.
Meanwhile, Wipro has also announced a new vertical focusing exclusively on healthcare services sector. Rajiv Shah, who was earlier heading Wipro's Technology Business Unit, will now head the new vertical.
