This upcoming mobile gaming device is a dual joystick device that runs the Windows 7 OS and comes up with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It sports a 4.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display that has a 1024×600 resolution. It also comes with two cameras, a front and rear camera.
Apparently, the OCS-1 has been captivating the attention of many due to several reasons such as:
- It is equipped with OMOS interface that was developed by Ocosmos which allows only a few buttons that serve the functions of a keyboard and mouse
- It is powered by the Intel Oak Trail processor which comes with a PC level capacity
- It operates with Windows 7 thus, allowing its users to enjoy computer games such as StarCraft, WoW and other 3D games on mobile device as well
Both Intel and Ocosmos also agreed to place the "Intel Inside" logo on the OCS-1 in order to add up value to the product's integrity. They have also agreed to forge a strategic relationship with the network carrier AT&T to enable users to play online games on the mobile device via AT&T's Wi-Fi network.
Ocosmos is planning to come out with something big with the upcoming launch of the OCS-1. As a matter of fact, Ocosmos is planning to work with various large distributors that include online distributors as well. Basically, Ocosmos is also expected to make some collaboration with some of the leading game developers in order to convert existing games to make it more suitable for the TC platform.
The Ocosmos OCS-1 is expected to be available in America, China and other global markets as well. There are no available details yet regarding the availability and price of this coming mobile gaming device. And for now, only one thing is sure, gaming enthusiasts especially the younger generation will definitely fall in love with this TC-capable mobile gaming device.
