Seven-year, $11.3 million, BPO services agreement - a renewal of a previous contract signed in 2002
IBM has signed a seven-year, $11.3 million business process outsourcing services agreement with Lam Research Corporation, a major supplier of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment and services. The agreement is a renewal of a previous contract signed in 2002.
Through the agreement, IBM will continue to provide Lam Research with Accounts Payable, Cash Receipt Applications, Systems Invoicing, Payroll Administration, General Accounting and Account Reconciliation services. Key to IBM being selected for this deal was its successful history with Lam Research in delivering quality services at a competitive price. "IBM provides a well-rounded, cost effective global solution that aligns closely with our business goals," said John Theler, Lam Research's corporate controller.
"IBM and Lam Research have the benefit of working together for several years and we have made service level improvements and taken measures to ensure that the next seven years are even more successful," said Gene Byrne, general manager, F&A Solutions, IBM Managed Business Process Services. "IBM takes great pride in providing high-value services to its clients - with our global delivery capabilities and outsourcing expertise Lam Research will be free to focus on its customers."
