The deal involves supply of infrastructure, applications development, systems integration and consulting services
Western Australia Police has fired the starter's gun on a 10-year technology revamp, short-listing technology services giant CSC Australia for contracts that could be worth $135 million.
WA Police chief information officer Tony O'Donoghue said CSC was selected as one of two companies to sit on its project services supplier panel.
CSC will have to do battle with Ajilon for the contract, valued at up to $120 million, to supply infrastructure, applications development, systems integration and consulting services. Previously Fujitsu was the only supplier on the list.
CSC chief executive Nick Wilkinson expressed confidence the company would be able to come out on top. ``We've been working with WA Police for about 10 years and it has been a good relationship for both of us. We expect to win a majority of this work,'' Mr Wilkinson said.
